The Ottawa & National Branch of the Liverpool FC Supporters’ Club has been active for many years and convenes at The Georgetown Pub to watch Liverpool matches and support the team from afar. We are an official member of the Liverpool FC AIB (Association of International Branches). The Supporters’ Club is a non-profit organization, relying on the support of its members to exist and on volunteers to function.
Membership costs $20, $5 of which is donated to the Hillsborough Justice Campaign (HJC). HJC is dedicated to ensuring that those responsible for the 96 deaths are held accountable and that the memory of the 96 is not forgotten.
Well, ever wanted to go to Anfield? The Supporters’ Club can acquire tickets for home matches. You will (of course) have to pay for them, but you pay cost price and don’t have to go and meet a dodgy tout called Arnold in a dark recess of Stanley Park, hand over a wad of fivers and find out that you are watching the game from the McDonald’s restaurant. This service (getting the tickets, I mean, not watching from McDonald’s) is only available for fully paid up members of the club.
